Lake Mburo National Park is the only park in Uganda Named after a Lake (Mburo), its located along the Kampala-Mbarara Highway. Lake Mburo has around five Lakes within the park and it provides the best park in the country to see gigantic eland antelope, zebra, Topi and several acacia associated birds.
Within the five lakes you can see hippos, crocodiles and various water birds, while in the swamps you can spot sitatunga antelope and the red, black and yellow papyrus gonalek.
Day 1: Lake Mburo National Park
Early in the morning you are picked from Speke Hotel after breakfast. Depart for Lake Mburo National Park, along the way scenes of huge banana plantations, with stopovers at Mpambire Royal Drum Makers, the Equator. Arrive at Mihingo Lodge through Nshara gate in time for Lunch. After relaxation, late afternoon you can have a game walk around the lodge which provides a splendid view of the park, return to lodge dinner and overnight at Mihingo Lodge.
Day 2: Lake Mburo National Park - Rwoyo Park
Early morning drive to Rwonyo Park head quarters, for a game drive you will have a good chance of spotting Hyenas and hippos walking into the water, buffalo, zebras and Topi, proceed back to the Lodge for late breakfast, in the afternoon proceed for a game drive around the kazuma look out point to view a wide scope of the park and the Lakes surrounding the park, dinner and overnight at Mihingo Lodge.
Day 3: Lake Mburo National Park { Boat Ride }
Early morning, game drive, around 10.00am have a boat ride where you will be able to see various water animals and birds. Return to the lodge for lunch, in the afternoon proceed to eland track for a game drive, return to the Lodge for dinner, with permission from the Park headquarters proceed for night game drive with a game ranger, return for overnight at Mihingo Lodge.
Day 4: Lake Mburo - Kampala
After breakfast depart for Kampala, arrive in time for late lunch in the afternoon spend time at your own leisure.
