KENYA CAMPING SAFARIS
Kenya Camping Safaris are designed for those in search of a real adventure, joining safari for who enjoy the unpredictable wilderness. On safaris you are expected to help with the camp chores. Your meals will be prepared by our expert safaris cook over wood fires. Those who join are from all walks of life and nationalities usually between 16 and 60 years. Age however is not the criteria all that's needed is a sense of humor, a willingness to participate and a spirit of adventure.
DEA 08: 06 Days Wild , Rift , Mara and the Lakes
The Safari takes us south through the Rift Valley to Maasai Mara where largest Concentration of game in Kenya is to be found. Then back North to the remote Lakes Bogoria and Baringo a bird watchers and naturalists paradise.
Day 1: Nairobi - Maasai Mara Game Reserve
Met at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, briefed bt Destination East Africa guide and later depart for a journey South along the floor of the Great Rift Valley lunch served enroute, then pass Narok climb the western wall entering Hemingway's country ' "Serengeti plains". Arrive late afternoon in the Maasai Mara Game Reserve. Game drive enroute.Meals and Overnight at the Budget Luxury Camp.
Day 2: Maasai Mara Game Reserve
Full day in search of elephants,zebra ,wildebeest, rhino, buffalo, lion, cheetah, leopard, and other plains. All meals overnight at the Budget Luxury camp.
Day 3: Maasai Mara Game Reserve
This will be a full day of tracking game with your guide , after an early breakfast proceed for the game drives with picnic lunch boxes. The Mara's landscape is scenic savannah grassland on rolling hills , which enables the reserve to attract sufficient rainfall to maintain and support alarge population of herbivores , together with the predators that follow. Elephant , Lion,Buffalo can be seen with relative ease though luck is a necessary factor for spotting Rhino and Leopard that complete the big five as the two animals are very timid and sparsely numbered. Plains game like wild beest , Zebra and masai giraffe abound as well as hippos and a wide variety of antelopes including Impala , dik dik , hartebeest , Grants, Gazelle and Thompson's gazelle among others. All meals and overnight at the campsite.
Day 4: Maasai Mara - Lake Nakuru National Park
After breakfast leave the camp for lake Nakuru with picnic lunch enroute at the safari Junction. After lunch proceed to Lake Nakuru via Lake Elementaita stopping for panoramic and scenery viewing. You will arrive in Nakuru later in the afternoon. Dinner and overnight in your Budget hotel.
Day 5: Lake Nakuru - Lake Bogoria and Baringo
After an early breakfast, drive to Lake Baringo via Lake Bogoria. with picnic lunch, explore on foot these natural lakes and view the flamingoes in there thousands. Caution must be taken while walking near the hot springs, as they are super hot. Return to Nakuru for dinner and overnight in your Budget hotel.
Day 6: Lake Nakuru National Park - Nairobi- Departure
After breakfast proceed for early morning game drive in Lake Nakuru National Park, which is renowned for its large variety of birds. Besides birds for which is world famous, it is possible to see other game such as Waterbuck, impala,buffalo and gazelle in the surrounding gardens. Return to your hotel for Lunch. After return to Nairobi arriving in the afternoon.
