Day 1: Nairobi - Samburu National Reserve
Met on arrival at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, briefed by a Destination East Africa representative and drive to Samburu National Reserve arrive at the Samburu Lodge / Similar in time for Game drive at 1600hrs. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.
Day 2: Samburu National Reserve
Full day in the reserve with game drives at 0630hrs and 1600hrs respectively. Samburu is famous for its rare mammals that only survive north of the equator. These are the gerenuk, reticulated giraffe, beisa Oryx and grevy's zebra. Dinner and overnight at the Samburu Lodge. All meals and overnight at the Samburu Lodge/ Similar.
Day 3: Samburu – Mount Kenya Safari Club
After breakfast, depart and drive southwards to the luxurious Mount Kenya Safari Club. Lunch at the club and rest of the afternoon at leisure enjoying various optional activities offered by the club.With magnificent views of majestic Mount Kenya, the Mt Kenya Safari Club's 115 luxuriously appointed guest rooms, set in over 100 acres of landscaped gardens, offer a unique blend of comfort, relaxation and adventure. Originally the retreat of movie star and Club founder, William Holden, the Club's illustrious former members have included Winston Churchill and Bing Crosby. For those who wish to spend time relaxing at the Club, there are many recreational activities available: horseback riding, golf, croquet, a putting green, a bowling green, table tennis, swimming, a beauty salon, an animal orphanage and much more. Day 4: Mount Kenya - Aberdare National Park
Depart after breakfast and proceed south to the Aberdare Country Club. The club is the base hotel for your tree hotel - The Ark. Lunch at the club. At 1430hrs; transfer to the Ark which is located in the Aberdare National Park, with small overnight bags as most of the luggage is left at the club. The Ark has various decks and balconies for easy viewing and photography of wild game. Dinner and overnight of game viewing at the lodge.
Day 5: Aberdares – Lake Nakuru National Park
After breakfast, transfer back to the base hotel to retrieve rest of your luggage and drive towards the Rift Valley to Lake Nakuru National Park arriving at Lake Nakuru Lodge / Similar in time for lunch. At 1600hrs, enjoy an afternoon game drive in park that also takes you to the shores of the lake famous for its birdlife especially flamingos that form a pink hue across the lake. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.
Day 6: Lake Nakuru – Maasai MaraGame Reserve
Depart Nakuru after breakfast and drive through the floor of the Rift Valley to the world famous Maasai Mara game reserve, arriving at Keekorok Lodge / Similar in time for lunch. At 1600hrs enjoy an afternoon game drive in the reserve. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.
Day 7: Maasai Mara Game Reserve
Full day in the reserve with both morning and afternoon game drives at 0630hrs and 1600hrs respectively. The Mara is the northern extension of the Serengeti and its rolling plains are home to hundreds of plains game together with predators that feed on them. All meals and overnight at Keekorok Lodge / Similar.
Day 8: Maasai Mara - Nairobi- Departure
Depart the Mara after breakfast and drive back to Nairobi arriving early afternoon. Lunch at the famous Carnivore restaurant, justifiably referred to as Africa’s Greatest Eating Experience, having twice been voted amongst the worlds 50 best restaurants by UK based Restaurant magazine. Drop off at Jomo Kenyatta international Airport for your flight back home.
